Kantor Paten Putuskan Swan Sebagai Penemu Lampu Pijar
Tanggal 11 Juli 1892, Kantor Paten Amerika Serikat memutuskan bahwa Joseph Wilson Swan dari Inggris merupakan penemu karbon lampu listrik untuk lampu pijar -bukan-nya Thomas Edison.
Dated July 11, 1892, the U.S. Patent Office ruled that Joseph Wilson Swan of Englandis the inventor of the electric light carbon for the incandescent lamp, instead of ThomasEdison.
Swan incandescent lamps began experimenting since 1850 using carbon paperfilament and patented his invention in 1878. A year later the new Edison patented his invention, which is based on the discovery of the Swan, but more efficient. In 1886, two inventors are joined and founded the Edison & Swan United Electric Light Company, which later became known as Ediswan.
